The 2019 edition of the South African Athletics national championships will always be remembered for how the country’s 200m specialist Anaso Jobodwana couldn’t finish on the podium after having won his semi-final. The 2015 IAAF World Champions 200m bronze medalist could only finish fourth in the final race which was won by the 100m specialist and SA record holder Akani Simbine in 20.27secs at the Germiston stadium on Saturday (27 April 2019).
