In this week’s edition of Gateway to Africa we learn about the first annual Kliptown Public Arts Festival otherwise known as the Soweto Pop-Up Art Festival. Taking place on the 26 and 27th January, the event is intended to revive township art. We feature Njabulo Zulu, the managing director of Indoni Arts and Entertainment which is organising festival. Jacque D'unieville is the Chief Executive Officer of Omnicane Ltd, which developed Mushishito-Rukarara Hydropower plant in Rwanda.

The plant was officially inaugurated this past weekend in the presence of prime ministers of Rwanda and Mauritius.

He says the hydropower plant is important for the two nations.
