In this edition of Gateway to Africa, we talk to several delegates who attended the 3rd annual Southern Africa Women in Tourism conference in Johannesburg during the week. They include South Africa’s deputy minister tourism Tokozile Xasa, Zimbabwe deputy minister for tourism and hospitality industry Anastancia Ndhlovu and Elcia Grandcourt, director for the regional programme of the UNWTO. SAWIT is a RETOSA event bringing together women in the region to consider strategies to empower women in the tourism sector.
