In this week’s edition of Gateway to Africa, we shine a spotlight on the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam which has been under construction under construction for the last seven years. We find out how it is financed and the benefits that will accrue to Ethiopia and neighbouring countries in East Africa. Also in the programme South Africa’s minister of Arts and Culture says working together with BRICS countries, his country stands to benefit from the cultural economy. The sector accounts for 37% of global trade.
