The Gary & Shannon Show Hour 1 (05.07) – Debate fallout turns into a full-on rage session over taxes, incompetence, and California’s inability to do the basics.• NBC’s back-to-back mayoral + governor debates → who looked polished, who looked desperate, and who looked completely out of touch• Tom Steyer gets hammered → after spending massive personal money while still demanding more from taxpayers
• Xavier Becerra pushes higher taxes → and nobody on the show sounds thrilled about it• Shannon unloads on California infrastructure → potholes, insane registration fees, broken roads, and why “basic functioning government” now feels impossible
• Bigger frustration → stop pitching fantasy projects before fixing the essentials• Listener talk-backs flood in → with people just as furious about tax money disappearing into endless “feel-good” programs• Debate leftovers → Antonio Villaraigosa gets more aggressive, Katie Porter can’t outrun her reputation, and it increasingly feels like Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco are strategically aligning
