On alternating weeks, we will cover two series of talks, each under its own name: Scary Intelligence [Hooshe Tarsnak] is all about the new big question facing all of us: Artificial Intelligence, and how it impacts our professional, cultural, social, political, and everyday lives.

AI has entered every aspect of our day-to-day: from the images we see on social media, to how big decisions are made in society. Should we fear AI? Is it coming to take our job, or is it there to make our lives much better?

In The Hatchet [Tisheh], the speakers analyse the topics of their discussions by using a critical lens. There is an urgent need to (re)evaluate some of the rooted conventions and traditions from a radical perspective. 

Our conversations touch society, culture, history and philosophy, where the past is learned by standing in the present to inform the future.
