Tuesday, April 29: Union Springs softball's Paityn Delaney is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Paityn threw a no-hitter and a perfect game in the same week. She first pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 14-0 win over Newfield, then pitched a five-inning perfect game with 10 strikeouts in a 23-0 win over Groton. At the plate, Paityn had a triple and an RBI against Newfield and a home run against Groton.
