Tuesday, September 15, 2026: Union Springs/Port Byron soccer's Lucas Walawender is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Centralus Health. Lucas was named Tournament MVP as he helped the Wolves repeat as Cufari Kickoff Classic champions. He kept two shutouts, first making seven saves in a 1-0 win over Dryden, then making five saves in a 9-0 win over Groton.
