Wednesday, May 8: Southern Cayuga baseball's Isaac Brozon is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Isaac tallied 10 hits in a 3-game sweep over Marathon. He first recorded 4 hits and 3 runs in a series-opening 16-6 win. Then in Game 2, he hit for the cycle and scored 2 runs to help the Chiefs win 17-7. He rounded things off by recording a pair of hits in a 14-2 victory.

Wednesday, May 29: Lansing golf's Hailey Baughan is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Hailey shot a team-best 79 to help the Bobcats win their first-ever Section IV Class C title at Soaring Eagles Golf Course. Her score was the 3rd-best overall and was good enough to qualify for states. Earlier in the week, she also shot a 40 in a home meet win over Corning and Moravia at RaNic golf club.

Wednesday, May 29: Lansing golf's Hailey Baughan is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Michael earned medalist honors at the Section IV Class D Tournament at The College Golf Course at SUNY Delhi. The sophomore shot a tournament-low 69 (3 under par) to help the Wolves win the Class D title, capping things off with a 25-foot eagle on the final hole. He also helped the Wolves win the IAC Small School Championship at Soaring Eagles Golf Course in Horseheads.

Isabel won the 400-meter hurdles and the shot put at the IAC Championships. She also finished in second place in the 100-meter hurdles and seventh place in the long jump. For the IAC Pentathlon, she finished runner-up, winning the shot put and 800-meter run, placing second in the 100-meter dash, and placing third in the high jump and long jump.
