Wednesday, March 20: Moravia basketball's Jessalyn Jones is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Jessalyn scored 11 points (including 2 massive 3-pointers in the 3rd quarter) and came up big defensively in a 54-42 win over Tuckahoe in the NYS Class C semifinals, then scored a team-high 12 points, including more clutch shots, in a 46-45 win over Duanesburg in the NYS Class C championship to help the Blue Devils win their first-ever state title.

Tuesday, April 23: Lansing softball's Brooklyn Walker is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Brooklyn dove in a team-high 11 runs as she helped Bobcats go 5-0 last week, all against divisional opponents. Across their three-game series against Dryden, she went 5-for-7 at the plate with five RBIs. Then in a doubleheader sweep over Whitney Point, she went 5-for-7 again with six RBIs.

Tuesday, April 23: Trumansburg baseball's Garret Potter is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Garret excelled both on the mound and at the plate to help the Blue Raiders go 4-0 last week. He threw two complete games, first against Whitney Point by tossing a one-hit shutout and striking out 14 batters, then against Elmira-Notre Dame by allowing one unearned run and striking out 11. In the two games he didn't pitch, he went a combined 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run.

David won the triple jump and long jump while placing second in the 400-meter hurdles and third in the high jump across wins over Tioga and Candor. He also won the triple jump at the NY/PA Invitational.
