Adam Mettler was named Winemaker of the Year in 2018 by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the latest in a growing list of accolades for the 40-year-old Lodi native and winemaker for Michael David Winery and Mettler Family Vineyards. Adam comes from a celebrated Lodi farming family, the Mettlers, and is on the front line of an ambitious expansion project by Michael David Winery at its facility in Lodi, as well as a newly acquired property in Geyserville. Adam has helped assemble the winemaking team at Michael David and works with dozens of varieties from the Lodi American Viticultural Area. Adam grows wine grapes, as well, and enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and three young boys.
