Rosa Nuon podcast

View descriptionShare

Daughter of a Cambodian woman who miraculously survived Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot’s murderous regime, Rosa Nuon was born in a Thai refugee camp. She came to America with her family at the age of four in the mid 1980s and eventually settled in Rhode Island. Learning about the Cambodian genocide moved her from a young age. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island, was hired by the Center for Southeast Asians, and today is a case manager for Family Service Association of Fall River. She is pursuing a master’s degree and planning to start a support group for people living with trauma. @gwaynemiller #podcast for @projo
