Holocaust survivors Joan and Miguel Milich describe in nightmarish detail how they were spared death in one of Hitler's extermination centers, a fate many of their Jewish relatives suffered during the Second World War. Miguel and his family had the good luck to escape to Uruguay; thanks to the extraordinary courage of Catholic farmers in France who sheltered them, Joan and her sister and father were saved, after mother and wife Zysla was captured in Paris and sent by train to her death in the Auschwitz concentration camp. On this Thanksgiving Day 2019, the Barrington couple are grateful to be alive. @gwaynemiller #podcast for @projo. Story, photos and more at providencejournal.com
