The Wittliff Collections has acquired a series of rare audio interviews with Western author Cormac McCarthy, conducted by journalist Richard B. Woodward in 1992 in El Paso for Woodward’s groundbreaking profile of McCarthy in The New York Times. In this clip exclusively shared with the Austin American-Statesman, McCarthy discusses writers as "notorious liars."
