Police say a man shot at a Holly Hill homeowner through door.

A Daytona Beach man faces an attempted first-degree murder charge after showing up at the home of Holly Hill resident Sunday asking about a piece of mail and then shooting at him through the door, police said.

Rhino Simboli, 51, was arrested at gunpoint by Holly Hill police and charged with attempted first-degree murder and armed burglary. He was being held without bail Monday.

According to police, Simboli showed up at the home of Mark Vogenitz on Jasmine Avenue around 4:40 p.m. and knocked on the front door that was in an enclosed porch.

Simboli asked about a piece of mail. Vogenitz told Simboli he had the wrong address and to please leave his property and closed the door, police said.
