Darren Smith and Marty Caswell welcome in MLB analyst and Cardinals broadcaster Mark Sweeney to discuss the Padres offense being blanked again by Dustin May.

Sweeney breaks down what he's seeing in the Padres approach, and why there seems to be a lack of fight when the team is trailing. The three discuss Manny Machado's struggles versus fastballs, and how common it is for hitters to seek outside help.

Mark had his own share of hitting coaches when he was playing for and broadcasting for the Padres. He broke down the type of information that's been given to the hitters and why the struggles don't fall on the hitting coaches, although they're usually the scapegoat.

The three discuss Fernando Tatis' numbers, why he's showing glimpses of good and not great. Sweeney says Tatis belongs in right field, although he may simply be there now out of necessity given the Padres offensive struggles and injuries.
