Why did the Padres start a struggling and possibly injured Casey Mize on Friday versus the Diamondbacks with a chance to finally clinch the top wild card seed and host a series at Petco Park?

Darren Smith and Marty Caswell discussed the Padres lopsided loss to the Diamondbacks, and Mize's comments on time to have an honest conversation about his health. The two discuss how the Padres inability to clinch on Friday affects the Padres final two games, not being able to rest some of their veterans, and why the Padres didn't start Randy Vasquez on Friday instead.

Craig Stammen has already announced that Michael King will be their game one starter regardless of opponent or venue, but what other decisions are ahead and could the team end up carrying three starters? Marty and Darren also discuss the the one team the Padres probably don't want to face in the round, (hello, Arizona Diamondbacks), and why King has been waiting a long time for his next opportunity.
