Rod Temperton was one of Britain's, and indeed The World's, greatest ever songwriters.
This shy and modest Yorkshireman grew up in Grimsby in the North of England, and went on to write Heatwave's "Boogie Nights", Michael Jackson's "Thriller", and George Benson's "Give Me The Night". yet he remained largely unknown througout his life.
This Sony Award winning radio documentary, featured Rod himself, Quincy Jones, and many other legends of music. Broadcast on BBC Radio 2.
