It's not every day that an athlete shares how they ACTUALLY feel in 2026, but Lions tight end Sam LaPorta did just that this week. On a recent episode of the popular podcast "Pardon My Take," LaPorta made headlines when discussing his contract, saying in part, "in three months if I don't get to wear the Honolulu Blue and play for the Lions anymore, it's going to be all good. I'll get paid somewhere else."

Did LaPorta sound like a mercenary when he made these comments? And was he right about what he said? Andrew Birkle and Shawn Windsor debate it on the latest episode of the Freep Sports Show.
