Bloomberg Technology reporter Ellen Huet has some exciting news about what's coming in the Decrypted feed. We’re launching a new show, Foundering, and spending our entire first season looking at the story of WeWork.
Hi, I'm Ellen Hewitt. I'm a reporter for Bloomberg Technology. You're hearing from you now because we're making some changes. Last year, we aired our final episode of Decrypted, and since then, our podcast team at Bloomberg Technology has been hard at work on something new. It's a serialized show called Foundering. Each season, our reporters will bring you inside one big story, focusing on the high stakes dramas of Silicon Valley. This season, we're telling the story of Adam Newman and his controversial company We Work. I've been reporting on we Work for four years now, and when I first started, I thought it was just like any other startup. But I realized really early on that there was more to this story. That We Worked was a weird company that did weird stuff, and it started raising a lot of money, getting more attention, and then by the time the whole world was watching, it all fell apart. I want to give you a sense of what We Work was really like, how it all unfull did. There were so many parts of my reporting that I couldn't quite fit into print stories that I'm really excited to dig into here. We'll spend a whole season following We Works wild ride from hot startup to failed I p O and beyond. We're telling you about the new show because we think you'll like it. Just like Decrypted, Foundering will use Bloomberg's expert reporting to illuminate the biggest topics and technology, but each season we'll go deeper. We're really proud of the new show, and we hope you'll give it a listen. Foundering will launch later this month. Thanks for listening.
