One man broke everything, and one Man fixed what we could never repair. We open Romans 5:18–21 and follow Paul’s argument all the way down to the bedrock: Adam’s trespass brings condemnation and death, but Jesus Christ’s righteous act brings justification and life for those who believe. If you’ve ever wrestled with guilt, wondered whether grace is truly enough, or questioned what it means to be declared righteous, this teaching aims straight at the heart.

We spend time on the words that people often skim, especially “all,” “many,” and “made.” Paul’s parallelism is beautiful, but it can be misread, so we clarify why Romans 5 is not teaching universalism and why faith in Christ is essential. Then we dig into what it means to be “made” sinners in Adam and “made” righteous in Christ, not as a vague religious idea but as a real shift in standing and a real change that begins to reshape our desires and direction.

You’ll also hear a clear explanation of Christ’s perfect obedience, including what theologians call active obedience and passive obedience, and how His righteousness is credited to believers as imputed righteousness that satisfies God’s law, including its penalty. Finally, we tackle the surprising claim that the law can cause transgression to abound, why that does not make the law bad, and how grace still abounds much more. If this strengthens you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find sound Bible teaching.
