The word “access” can sound small until you realize what it meant for real people who lived with walls, courts, priests, and a veil that kept them out. We open Romans 5 and slow down on Romans 5:2, where Paul says we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. That one verse connects the deepest questions many of us carry: Can God really welcome me? What do I do with guilt that keeps coming back? Is my relationship with God as unstable as my week has been?

We start with the gospel foundation of justification by faith and the objective peace with God that comes through our Lord Jesus Christ.
