Hosts Shelly and June Volk delve into the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), contrasting animal sacrifices under Levitical law with the completed work of Jesus on the cross. Sharing personal testimonies from Yom Kippur and their early ministry, they examine how the Messiah fulfills the Old Covenant, transforms the heart, and offers believers a completely new life.

Key Takeaways

Sacrificial Shadow & Completion: The two goats on Yom Kippur foreshadowed Jesus, whose ultimate sacrifice replaced yearly animal offerings for complete forgiveness.

A New Life, Not Just a Career: True faith is about spiritual rebirth and internal transformation rather than external religious duties or ambition.

The New Covenant Promise: The New Covenant fulfills Jeremiah's prophecy by replacing laws written on stone with a pliable heart written with God's grace.

Imputed Righteousness: Freedom from sin comes not through human effort or self-righteous observance of the law, but through receiving the righteousness of Messiah.
