There are many stereotypes about what a man is. There are a lot of negative messages our boys are receiving. They’re meant to be tough, highly competitive and obsessed with sex and sports. But is this really true? The bible, however, does say 'Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity'; but how can parents help to achieve this? Well, not only do we need to exemplify these traits ourselves, but we also need other positive role models in their lives. Today I’m speaking with one of the Focus team, Eric Agyeman, to discuss Toxic Masculinity. What does the bible teach about true masculinity and how we can help our young men be what God desires for them?
