An active shooter exercise at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida accidentally led to a real emergency 9-1-1 call and a heavy response from local law enforcement Tuesday morning, the News Herald reports. A post on Tyndall’s Facebook page confirmed that the base was performing an active shooter training exercise. The Facebook post states “First responders have cleared the building, ensured there was no threat and the all-clear was issued. We have resumed normal operations at this time.” Several schools in the area were placed on a temporary lockdown because of the emergency call.
