Jupiter Inlet Colony residents will head to the polls for a contested municipal election for the first time in 11 years this March. The tiny, posh town boasts homeowners that include Kid Rock and former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted. The race comes courtesy of Cindy Keim, a 71-year-old self-described homemaker and ceramic artist. She’s had a presence in town since 1957. Keim is challenging incumbent Saeed Khan, a 62-year-old internist physician and entrepreneur who bought a home in Jupiter Inlet Colony in 2011. The Colony employs a handful of full-time police officers and currently has one committee aside from the commission.
