In Southwest Florida, three people were killed in a murder-suicide in Bonita Springs, the Lee County Sheriff's Office confirmed Tuesday night. On Monday, deputies responded to the Bonita Bay community in reference to a death investigation. The deceased included one male and two females, a news release said. The female victims have been identified and the male is pending identification. More than three decades old, the planned community includes 3,100 private homes, condominiums, and villas within 56 neighborhoods encompassing 2,400 acres. Deputies said there is no threat to the public and the homicide investigation remains active.
