A four-year-old Florida boy received a special birthday present earlier this week. Rex Coleman, of Riverside, is fascinated by trucks his mom says, but garbage trucks are his favorite. After spending most of his days at home due to daycare closures, Rex developed a special bond with a Solid Waste Truck Driver during weekly pick-up. So it was a welcome surprise when a garbage truck parked right in front of the family’s home to celebrate his birthday, bringing Rex a toy truck, truck-shaped chocolates and a neon green City of Jacksonville shirt — just like the drivers wear. Rex has worn the shirt almost every day, his mom told The Florida Times-Union, adding QUOTE "Sometimes people touch our lives in the most unexpected and beautiful ways."
