Waldo Williams never forgot how good "Mr. Jennings" was to him when he played football for Merritt Island High and Harry Jennings was an English teacher whose house was a haven for local Florida football players. Mr. Jennings died in 2002. But Williams wants to make sure Jennings' daughter, Sarah "Bitsy" Jennings, is safe and comfortable living in her parents' old home. Sarah Jennings has had health problems, her friends say, and she's now facing COVID-19. On Wednesday, Williams and a team of volunteers got to work on rehabbing the Merritt Island house. More than a dozen men showed up to pitch in, including former NFL standout "Neon Leon" Bright and Tommy Cook.
