Fort Walton Beach High School has been awarded an off-the-field football victory thanks to rival Niceville being forced to forfeit the September 10th contest between the teams, Northwest Florida Daily News reports. Niceville self-reported an ineligible player after school officials found nothing but an abandoned trailer at the address provided by one of its student-athletes as the location of his home. Niceville won the September 10th meeting by a score of 45 to 8. The forfeit represents not only the first win of the season for Fort Walton Beach, but also the first loss for Niceville.
