With protestors outside her Lakewood Ranch home in Florida demanding answers, the sister of fugitive Brian Laundrie spoke on Monday and confirmed she met her brother last month before he went on the run, the Herald-Tribune reports. In an exclusive video shared with Nexstar's NewsNation, Cassandra “Cassie” Laundrie and her husband walked out of their home visibly frustrated and ready to talk. She said the homicide of would-be-sister-in-law Gabby Petito and the ongoing manhunt for Brian Laundrie is driving a wedge between her family. The entire Laundrie family has been scrutinized for their silence since the disappearance and homicide of Petito. The parents initially refused to cooperate with authorities and still have not said anything publicly, communicating only through their lawyer.
