State troopers are investigating a Brevard County accident that killed a pedestrian. An unidentified man was standing in the middle of the Pineda Causeway around 6 a-m when he began running toward oncoming cars. Two drivers, including one driven by former state Senator Michael Haridopolos, swerved in an effort to avoid the collision. Haridopolos' Land Rover is believed to have been the vehicle that struck the man. A full autopsy will be conducted, including an alcohol and drug screen.
