Florida House moves closer to abolishing Constitutional panel

Florida lawmakers are one step closer to getting rid of the Florida Constitution Revision Commission. The effort to disband the commission is moving forward in the State House. The commission drew controversy last year after it proposed a series of unpopular ballot measures. The commission also tends to spend time by stringing unrelated issues into a single item for people to vote on. Critics say that the commission has become an activist committee.
