A Destin, Florida native has been named as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' new chief of staff, according to a Thursday announcement from the governor's office, the North West Florida Daily News reports. James Uthmeier, currently serving as DeSantis' general counsel, will assume the duties of chief of staff when the resignation of current Chief of Staff Adrian Lukis becomes effective Oct. 1.
