Once again, an appellate court has rejected convicted murderer Leo Schofield Jr.'s argument for a new trial in the 1987 stabbing death of his wife, Michelle, in Lakeland. This week, the Second District Court of Appeal ruled that Circuit Judge J. Kevin Abdoney was correct in ruling that Jeremy Scott's delayed confession to murdering Schofield's 18-year-old wife lacked credibility.
