Congressman Matt Gaetz paid dues and late fees Friday morning necessary to get himself reinstated to good standing with the Florida Bar. He also filled out a required reinstatement petition that allowed him to again be eligible to practice law in the state. According to the member profile that appeared on the Florida Bar website as late as October 21st, Gaetz was considered delinquent for having failed to pay $465 dollars in bar fees that were due in August. By midday Friday, after news of his delinquent status broke, however, his profile changed to "good standing." Gaetz is serving his third two-year term representing Florida's First Congressional District. He is up for re-election in 2022.
