A meaningful tribute to Florida State University's legendary coach Bobby Bowden was unveiled Sunday at Doak Campbell Stadium prior to the Florida State-Notre Dame football game. The revealed work is a painting that portrays a collage of images from his coaching career with the centerpiece being a photo of Bowden looking off into the distance thinking. Among the images portrayed are of his days coaching at Samford University and West Virginia all the way to his more than three decades coaching the Seminoles. Ann Bowden said her husband got to see the portrait before he died last month. Birmingham-based artist Steve Skipper said he spent over 1,500 hours working on the portrait trying to do Bowden’s career justice.
