With offshore oil production still down, Florida gas prices unexpectedly jumped 10 cents last week, according to Triple-A -The Auto Club Group's weekly briefing. The latest average statewide price is 3 dollars and 10 cents ($3.10) per gallon, a new high for the year. That's at least 7 cents more than the previous high in early August. Pump prices increased alongside rising crude oil and gasoline future prices, the briefing explained. That means QUOTE "the rollercoaster ride at the pump continues for Florida drivers," according to Mark Jenkins, Triple-A-Auto Club Group spokesman.
