Fitzy and Wippa join the show's producers to unpack all the behind the scenes action from the week that you weren't allowed to hear on-air.
With Kate podcast. What a warm up?
There is Michael Whipfley on the pod, joined by Ryan, James Fitzgerald, Tom Ivey is here, Jay, Lizzie, Ollie and producer Jess in the hot second time.
I've called you Lizzie on the pot is actually here. It's on you, Maddie.
If you take that as a compliment or if you take that as a negative.
A compliment. We love Lizzie and I love me, I love.
You, love yourself, then you can't love anyone else.
So true, so true.
I'm going to kick this off with Friday, not with full Bush Friday. I want to talk about the best off air moment of the week and talk about something we don't ever really mention, but this show Fitzi and Whipper with Kate Richie did its best ever numbers in the ratings period.
To the team, Jess, I feel awkward about that. It's not why we do it. It's more for the awards and the cash. But exactly, you know, the numbers are good. The numbers are good, Yeah, fantastic.
They're nice to have so many people listening. I'm not sure if.
They all convert to the podcast, but surely the producers pot great out.
Talk Jess.
We don't like to talk about this, but can you tell everyone what the ratings were?
Again?
Yes, So we did an eight point seven chare fantastic and our biggest ever cume. That means the amount of people tuning in at any time went well past three million, which was that's enough.
Don't say anymore. We don't like talking about it.
It was more like one of those numbers six hundred and sixty eight thousand, but also our social numbers chastity.
Yeah, they're doing quite well as well.
Don't under sell yourself.
I don't just think that's part of my job. They do quite well. We went from like seven hundred and fifty something and then went up to twenty two thousand.
Coincidentally, once the pod started and there.
Were how much we're paying in bots these days? We're still they really council.
No Russian ones in there.
But let's not start said how many bots.
Let's job someone in for something that happened off air. Oh, I think you're going to kick this one off for us, something that we made both you and Tom do that took up.
Quite a bit of time. Oh yes, after the show this week.
This was on Tuesday when Whip decided he wanted to go to the ANZAC Day clash down in Melbourne at the mcg we you know, he was very stressed out. Ten minutes for ten minutes, guys, we're all trying to get on with our day jobs. And then it comes he's on there. He finally, you know, he's in a queue, goes down, down, down, He finally gets on and then as he's going to do what he realizes there's like an error with the IP address. It's all screwed, so we all have to hop on. We're all sitting there spent when like forty five minutes I think, we're all trying to find seats. It all sold, and then he just lets like I can't do it and he ends up getting tickets to a contact anyway.
So it was frustrating. Thank you for that awesome experience of being able to get tickets.
And you know what, there's a lot of people lining up to go and see a second rate football team.
It's quite interesting.
Well, it's a football team that it'll drag one hundred thousand people, which.
Your club will never do.
So can we move on to something I would consider a better off air moment for this. Yeah, of course it's not every day a team member has a day off. But when it comes to the country music channel, mcm.
What is this? Fox?
Tell?
What is that festival called rocks?
That'll do?
So?
I didn't realize fits because I said, I just assumed that Maddie was country curious. But she's been full bush for how long? Now, Like since you were what thirteen or something?
I reckon, Yeah, since I was about.
Oh my lord, that is just foot bush. What what do we call it?
Her?
I have been obsessed with country music since I was about sixteen. I think we go on road trips, used to listen to hot country.
Radio and the next thing you know, on Instagram there's a full routine of a boots scooting line, dancing, heel clicker.
Have you ever lined as? I was actually in my element. I was having the best time in my life. I cried during that festival, the happiest tears coming in on Jesus.
The actually.
Right now through crying.
Such a lot.
Why are you trying? She loves, she loves.
What's bringing on the tears, buddy?
Is it the love of the country music or is it being back here with everyone's.
Never seen you cry.
It was just such a great oh my god.
My friend then and I just literally no one knows.
I hate fast Australian artists. Man who's the best at the.
Moment Ossie artists. I love Morgan Evans. You haven't been day drinking.
That is extreme because I love to your man Shannon there who you are soon to marry. I mean, I assume he was the boyfriend's of Instagram, so he sort of filmed from a good distance so he can get a full body of the boots, the skirt, the top, the leg kicks.
He didn't want to participate, participate in the funny, but he did get me up on the showers during the last.
Set were check or something.
What's going to be more awkward is when we see all the pictures from your wedding day and you didn't cry once.
Yeah, but for Morgan, and you'll tear up wollen.
When I joined the show, I couldn't I couldn't bring myself to tell you.
But you always say Morgan Wallen and it's where he literally learned it. This week.
This week just directed me.
It is fun when the guys do say Sonny Fedora. Some days We've gone through that one maybe seven times.
It's still for Sonny, isn't it Sonny?
Then yesterday I think when Fitz was a love read for the Dora, he said for Dara.
Right, we're never going to get no one's tuning into the show for accuracy.
That's so true. That's the only trooping that.
Will be said.
We have a good time on this show.
Absolutely. Do anyone have any and last remarks before we go?
I do.
I'm not not guilty. Seriously, there's a really big case going on, a wrapping extend on something.
I just want to let's leave everyone with this moment fits.
Look, we do try and get things right.
It doesn't always work, but sometimes we do throw in an extra member of human nature.
Who was it fits?
Yeah, it's Toby and Alan and I didn't realize.
Until afterwards that Toby's full.
Name is Toby, So Allan is not a part of human nature? Or is he a secret fifth member that we don't know about?
He's not here?
Was here? Was the moment on air?
Love you Boys, Phil, Toby, Alan, Andrew Michael. You boys are performing at Woollongong tonight.
Is that correct? Awesome?
The fifth member a.
Human nature to make a mistake, though.
