The Correctional Services Department is probing allegations that wealthy inmates are bribing officials for special treatment. Reports suggest some prisoners, like businessman Thoshan Panday at Westville Correctional Centre, are paying for hospital holidays and other perks, essentially buying their way out of regular prison conditions.
