The South African Students Congress (SASCO) in Tshwane will today embark on a major protest action, dubbed the "Mega Total Shutdown". Students are expected to gather at the Old Patco Depot in Marabastad and march to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The protest aims to bring attention to the plight of students by calling for a complete shutdown of academic activities.
