The South African Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu) has called for Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube to resign after boycotting the signing of the Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Bill by President Cyril Ramaphosa. While Ramaphosa signed the bill, its implementation will be delayed for three months to address concerns about clauses which cover schools admission and language policy.
