Political analysts warn that a toxic wave of foul-mouthed outbursts by senior leaders could cost their parties dearly at the upcoming polls.

Political parties are being urged to rein in their leaders after a spate of public outbursts. This follows backlash over Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina who was filmed allegedly swearing at a disabled resident in Kouga in the Eastern Cape. It comes just a week after Joburg Mayor Dada Morero also used profanities during a community meeting. Morero has since apologized. ActionSA says it will lay an ethics complaint against Minister Majodina. For reaction
