The Phokwane Local Municipality in Hartswater, Northern Cape, has cautioned residents against illegal land occupation. This follows desperate pleas for basic services from residents, who have illegally occupied municipal land. But the municipality has hit back, insisting that the occupied area is not conducive to human settlement and makes service delivery almost impossible.
