Parliament is seeking to expand its oversight over the Presidency, sparking a major debate about accountability and transparency. The proposal, tabled by opposition parties, including the uMkhonto weSizwe, Freedom Front Plus, and Action SA, calls for the establishment of a parliamentary committee to monitor the performance and spending of the Presidency.
