Mary Phadi has been removed from the uMkhonto weSizwe Party and her position in the provincial legislature. The Mbombela High Court dismissed Phadi's appeal yesterday, upholding the MK Party's decision to terminate her membership. The ruling confirms Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane as the party's provincial leader. Phadi, who had challenged her earlier expulsion over allegations of misconduct, set fire to a copy of the MK Party constitution outside the court in protest.
