Future of 100 matric students hangs in the balance as they await their 2023 exam results

View descriptionShare

The future of 100 matric students at EJ Singwane Secondary School in Pienaar, Mpumalanga, hangs in the balance as they anxiously await their 2023 exam results, clouded by allegations of widespread cheating. Reports suggest that students from 20 schools in the Bohlabelo district, including EJ Singwane, paid R1,500 to access exam answers through WhatsApp groups. Furthermore, invigilators are implicated in the cheating scandal, raising concerns about the integrity of the examination process. The outcome of the investigation will determine the fate of these students and the legitimacy of their exam results. For more on this Elvis Presslin spoke to Mpumalanga Department Of Education spokesperson Gerald Sambo
