The 2022 matric results have shown a significant improvement with the overall pass rate of 80-point one percent, which is the highest achievement since 2019. Basic Education minister Angie Motsekga revealed during the announcement of last year's National Senior Certificate results in Randburg, north of Johannesburg yesterday, that the matric class of 2022 achieved an overall pass rate of 80.1%. Motshekga says despite numerous challenges all provinces have scored a pass rate of above 70 percent.
