The Democratic Alliance has welcomed Stellenbosch Mayor Jeremy Fasser's call for a special Council meeting today to address allegations of racism against Acting Corporate Services Director Alexander Kannemeyer. The DA is pushing for Kannemeyer's dismissal after a video surfaced showing him making racially charged remarks about white employees. In the footage, Kannemeyer suggests making life difficult for white workers to force their resignations and claims that appointing skilled candidates often prioritizes white men, a practice he says must end. He also stated there are too many white men in senior management. Elvis Presslin spoke to DA National Spokesperson, Willie Aucamp
