Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) Minister, Velenkosini Hlabisa says a review of the White Paper on Local Government must address the critical issue of adequate funding for municipalities. Minister Hlabisa was speaking at a high-level dialogue in Midrand, north of Johannesburg, yesterday. Representatives from political parties convened talks centred on professionalising local government administration, reforming structures and systems, strengthening accountability and examining the roles of coalitions and traditional leadership.
